Historic Preservation is often thought to encompass those buildings that are one hundred years old, or at least those built before we were born.

Hutter Architects, LTD. was chosen to architect the Major Capital Renovation of George Washington High School to restore the early 1960’s building to it’s modern roots.

the school received all new windows that while more energy efficient matched the original profiles and lines as closely as possible. Turquoise Terra Cotta Spandrel Panels below the windows were restored, the masonry cleaned and restored, and the coal tar pitch roof was removed and replaced on the classic modern building that was originally designed by Perkins and Will.
